Leader 2023 – 2027
Leader 2023 - 2027
The LEADER 2023-2027 programme promotes the sustainable development of rural areas in the country, addressing economic, social, and environmental challenges. It also serves as an innovative approach within the European Union‘s rural development policy, fostering regional growth and enhancing the autonomy of local communities.
The programme’s design and implementation philosophy is centered on supporting the development of local businesses and enhancing public infrastructure and investment to benefit local populations. LEADER encourages active participation from local communities in decision-making and resource management, thereby promoting social cohesion and strengthening local identities.
Under LEADER 2023-2027, several funding programmes for private enterprises, both existing and new, are expected to be launched regionally. These programmes will cover a wide range of activities, including:
- Manufacturing: Supporting the development of value chains for agricultural products, with a focus on value addition and commercialization.
- Tourism: Promoting rural and sustainable tourism development, with an emphasis on activities that highlight the cultural heritage and natural beauty of the regions.
- Agri-food: Strengthening the production and marketing of local and traditional products, promoting healthy and high-quality food options.
Additionally, the LEADER programme encourages innovative practices and partnerships between businesses and local stakeholders, supporting sustainable development while ensuring environmental protection. Funding will be available for projects that contribute to the development and well-being of rural communities.
