NSRF 2021-2027

The NSRF 2021-2027 represents one of the most significant financial instruments for SMEs in our country. The new NSRF is expected to total €26.2 billion, comprising:

• €20.9 billion Union Contribution
• €5.3 billion National Contribution

The NSRF addresses both the public and private sectors by launching various programmes targeting different sectors of the Greek economy.

For the private sector, the Competitiveness 2021-2027 Programme is an integrated intervention aimed at enhancing the productive, competitive, and outward-looking sectors of the economy. This initiative seeks to transition these sectors to a growth model driven by the Knowledge Economy, reflecting the country’s development priorities and aligning with the new priorities set by the European Commission.

In the long term, the Programme aims to increase the scale of Greek enterprises and strengthen their international orientation, positioning them as key drivers of growth within the Greek economy.

Overall, the Competitiveness 2021-2027 Programme, with approximately €3.9 billion in public expenditure—of which €3.1 billion is sourced from ERDF and ESF+ Community funds—focuses on strengthening the productive potential of the economy and enhancing relevant human skills.

The primary sectors targeted by this programme include:

• Industry/Manufacturing: Focused on manufacturing and processing sectors.
• Logistics: Enhancing logistics capabilities.
• Wholesale and Retail Trade: Improving efficiency and competitiveness in wholesale and retail sectors.
• Digital Transition: Supporting the adoption of digital technologies across sectors.
